It is important for IRIS to safeguard the working environment and to obtain knowledge on how to develop the organisation in our employees’ best interests. How well IRIS succeeds in this is measured by an employee satisfaction survey every two years. The survey was last carried out in the first quarter of 2015. The results of the survey have formed the basis for encouraging work in the various research groups and departments during the year and this work continues in 2016.
Another important instrument for safeguarding the working environment and securing the well-being of the individual is performing employee interviews. Interviews between manager and employee are held during the first quarter of each year, with follow-up interviews in the autumn.
At the end of 2015, IRIS had 202 employees (184 FTEs). The proportion of foreign employees is 25 per cent, of 24 different nationalities.
During the course of the year, 7 employees gained doctorates. The number of researchers with doctorates is now 98 (92 in 2014). The average age at the end of 2015 was 46.
