Corporate social responsibility

Research and research-based knowledge is vital for Norway to achieve a knowledge-based and innovative society. As a research institute, IRIS has a broad social mission. Dissemination of knowledge and research results are part of this social responsibility. Research from IRIS is dissemminated through participation at conferences, through popular science lectures, and through publications in national and international journals and books.

For IRIS, social responsibility means that we must show responsibility and pay attention to the outside world we touch upon through our activities. It is therefore important to integrate social and environmental considerations into our daily operations.

IRIS has prepared ethical guidelines that clarify attitudes and behavior that is expected of each employee, including good business practices. The basis for the guidelines comprises the group’s core values ​​and the values ​​”Innovation, Respect, Integrity and Solidarity”. These values should be followed by all employees in order to safeguard social issues, society and the environment.
